Go Green on Earth Day, April 22, 2019 - 49th Anniversay
Kick off your commitment to going green by taking small steps that will make a difference for a lifetime: Join a neighborhood recycling program, Plant a tree, Walk or bike to work, or try one of our favorites - sprinkle your "used" coffee grounds into your compost or garden soil.
TLC for your Garden or Compost:
Reduce waste by mixing your "used" coffee grounds into your garden or compost. Coffee grounds act as a green material with carbon-nitrogen (C-N) ratio of 20-1. Mixed into your compost, the grounds help to speed up the composting process. Keep your grounds at 23- 25-% of your total compost pile. Also, you can add brown leaves, and grass clippings to help balance the pH of your soil.
Give up your paper cup addiction, and trade up to a friendly "reusable travel coffee mug". Make your travels with hot coffee more safe and help save our planet's trees.
